Alex Varhaník

Alex is a second-year student at the high school in Považská Bystrica and is active in its school parliament. He has also become a representative in the Regional Youth Parliament. His interests include not only politics, international relations, history, geography, and law, but also sports, and he is not unfamiliar with the arts.

He collaborates with TV Rozhľad and also contributes to the Rozhľad magazine. Last year, he successfully completed the bronze level of the Duke of Edinburgh Award (DofE) and is currently working towards the silver level. He has received the "Personality of the Gymnasium" award. In the past, he also worked externally with the Student Advisory Council on education reform. Over the past year, in collaboration with the Sytev organization and the Ministry of Education, he organized 28 workshops at primary and secondary schools, contributing to raising awareness about the importance of addressing online hate speech.
